The only reason I gave each week (except for the odd one or two
when I was away for the holidays) was because I wanted to give each day
adequate time. Seeing as these last issues are less daily recounts and more
‘just kill ‘em’ wrap-ups, a quickie is all I am going to give it to them.
As if the last two weren’t enough, this week the writers of 52 bring to
end the story of yet another character in their own trademark way, by killing
said character off. As for who is it, just see the cover. How does it happen?
Four horsemen, with the identity of the fourth one (it was telegraphed weeks
back) finally coming into the open.
Oh, and just so maintain the illusion of a weekly/related storyline(s), we have
Renee Montoya taking the next step to become the next Answer, Suggestion,
Hypothesis, or whatever it is she is going to be called. Then again, seeing as
her promotion comes at the cost of Vic Sage’s life it is more than likely
that she will also be awarded his title/codename. Way to go guys, kill
off all the likeable characters.
Conclusion: ‘Tis the time of change and for Black Adam that means
changing back to his days of yore when he was little more than a gigantic ball
of anger garbed in a skin-tight snazzy costume. Just another example of DC’s
Post-IC ‘What was old is New again’ Earth. RATING: 7/10
