Grimm Fairy Tales #12: After a trio of ‘downer’ ending
issues (ones in which the characters did not just get away with a lesson and a
close shave but rather got the proverbial and even literal knifing), this
installment of Grimm Fairy Tales leaves the reader with a rather upbeat
ending. Oh, the danger is there and it is most definitely ominous yet there is
the faintest glimmer of hope in this retelling of the Pied Piper. Well, other
than that there is not much that I can tell about this story. The artwork, it is
adequately serviceable. Lastly the cover and though sporting yet another hawt
hottie, this Al Rio cover isn’t quite in the same league the ones for quite a
few of the previous issues.
Conclusion: As usual fairly familiar story but with the trademark
grim (punny, eh) twist.
RATING: 6.5/10
