Quickies (March 05, 2008)

Succubus #1: Succubus #1 is one long play of strobe-lights both mechanical and supernatural. From its start at a disco to the devil-i-cious closing, there are a lot of elements which as confusing as they are intriguing. Still, at the end of the day it’s almost a bit too mysterious for its own good. In fact, if for the empathy that I felt towards the main character I wouldn’t even give this series a second chance. My favorite part of the issue was the first quarter i.e. the one where the succubus seduces the human male only to realize that this time isn’t quite like the others. It is this event that sets of the rest of the story.

Conclusion: Not to everyone’s taste…still, not quite a waste of time and money either.

RATING: 3.5/5
