Claw 'The Unconquered' #2

Reviewed by: Bruce Logan

You know, after reading just two issues of this title, I can’t help but feel how a movie and a game based on this might look like, even more so the game, especially if its made in the same style as how the Diablo series were (I, II and Lord of Destruction). That is how captivating and fast paced this jam-packed issue was.

While the first issue introduced us to Claw (Valcan Scaramax) and his general supporting cast, this one not only built on that, but brought in new characters while building on the foundation that the previous issue dug. It seems that Claw is bound….prophesized for great things, (unfortunately) none of them good. Hence the preparations being made by those affiliated with the Sylvan Order, all gathering under the leadership of Bishop Guye Navarra.

As for Claw and his rather ‘interesting’ companions, continuing their journey to the Gate of Sorrows, they face and trounce on locals/looters/whatever those Heerdaman’s were. And if that’s not enough we also learn more about the three Sircasssians (Vivardi, Mardak and Haxa) and their…umm, bestial personalities.

Also making an appearance, along with our bikini clad witch Satarina is the other Claw, the one that had grown from the clawed hand that Valcan had severed in the hope of getting rid of his monstrous limb. Seeing this claw one can’t help but feel that maybe all the prophecies are about this Claw and the not Valcan. But at this juncture, its too soon for any of that. There’s a lot of story to come….and I for one am firmly along for the ride.

Conclusion: I think I’ll go any play some Diablo II LoD now.

RATING: 9/10
